A fragment of Elon Musk’s Falcon 9 rocket flew past the ISS at a distance of more than five kilometers, there is no interference with the operation of the station, RIA Novosti reports.

Roscosmos explained that the ISS is located in the “green corridor”. A fragment of the Falcon launch vehicle at 07.18 Moscow time passed by the ISS. There are no obstacles to the flight of the station, and the crew of the Russian segment, together with the Mission Control Center, is preparing for the undocking of the ISS and the Progress MS-17 transport cargo ship.

Earlier it was reported that Russia sent a ship to the ISS with a new module “Berth”. The flight to the International Space Station will take two days. The cargo ship will deliver about 700 kg of various cargoes to the ISS. Prior to that, it became known that cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov and Pyotr Dubrov will conduct a training on manual docking of the node module “Science” on the ISS.
