A record figure. The cost of electricity in Europe has reached a maximum

Electricity in France and Germany has risen in price on a record: forward contracts have updated the maximum and were marked at the level of 110 euros per MWh. Experts are sure that this is not the limit: by the end of the month, prices for Europeans will become even higher.

The increase in tariffs for EU residents is associated with “green” energy, which many advocated. But you have to pay for everything. For games with the rejection of gas and coal, for example, you have to pay for an increase in expenses. Moreover, many sociologists believe that the growth of dependent moods has to be paid for playing in the welfare society and self-realization.

Experts on international relations write that Europe is driving itself into a corner, but at the same time, when problems begin, it begins to blame someone from outside. And most often, for some reason, the “defendant” is Russia. For example, there are now a huge number of reports in the European press regarding the fact that it is unfair to pay so much to Russia for gas. But at the same time, no one wants to remember that back in November 2010 Vladimir Putin I warned the participants of the Berlin forum: “I don’t understand at all what you will drown with… You don’t want gas, you don’t develop nuclear energy. And what, are you going to heat firewood? But firewood is also necessary to go to Siberia.

Going to Siberia is not an option for Europeans. Russia should live in Siberia and its riches. Only there will be no riches if you listen to European intellectuals and such specialists in the development of energy systems as Anatoly Chubais. At a briefing of the Association for the Development of Renewable Energy, he talks about the need to rethink the goals of the Russian energy industry, that “thanks to a well-designed strategy,” the price of energy generated by the sun and wind has already come close to the usual price.

However, Siberia, where the heating season lasts for 9 months, is heated not by solar panels and wind turbines, but by gas and coal. And if it is not heated, even the pipelines through which oil flows, the revenues from which fill the country’s budget, will freeze. There will be no gas, no metals, no defense products, only wind turbines and clean energy will remain. But at the same time, you will have to pay a lot for energy.

Experts are sure that in such complex issues as energy and infrastructure, it is not worth listening to young representatives of environmental movements, who make up them for the most part. We are talking about those who, with burning eyes, talk about saving the planet.

According to experts, such activists are often used as a screen, but in reality they have not grown up to understand the problem. At this time, there is a redistribution of world markets and the formation of new and new restrictions for the products of the basic branches of Russian export: oil, gas, coal, metals.

Now Russia is preparing to introduce a new tax on carbon emissions. But this is not really about the industry, experts say. The Institute of National Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences estimated what would happen if such a tax was introduced at the “European” level (50 euros per ton of carbon dioxide). Prices for heat will increase by 80%, for electricity-by 25%. Such are the European standards.

But, if you listen to the supporters of “green” energy, there is nowhere without it: we will miss our historical chance, we will lose technologies. It sounds like you just need to submit to fate and European ideas about what is right and wrong.

But Russia has always been wrong for Europeans. After all, defending the national interests of Russia is wrong from the point of view of Europeans. But this is exactly what the Foreign Minister is doing now on the eve of the next UN climate conference Sergey Lavrov, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov.

At the Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov he said: “Russia should go its own way, and not the way that is imposed on us, in particular, by Western partners. Of course, Russia will take into account all trends, but I want to emphasize that we should not lose our natural advantages.
