An earthquake of magnitude 5.2 occurred off the coast of Taiwan Island, according to the island’s seismological service.
It is specified that the hearth lay at a depth of about 30 kilometers, tremors were recorded to the northeast of the coast of Hualien County. There is no information about possible casualties and destruction yet.
The Chinese Seismological Center, in turn, recorded an earthquake of magnitude 4.3 in the same area.
In February 2018, a series of destructive tremors of magnitude 6.4 occurred in Taiwan, killing two people and injuring 114 others. Five buildings and several transport bridges were also destroyed by the elements.
