In 2021, the swimming season in Moscow was announced from June 18. Reservoirs have warmed up to +20 degrees. Every year, Rospotrebnadzor checks the water in natural reservoirs for the suitability for recreation and the safety of citizens and tourists.

In 2021, Rospotrebnadzor, as of 06/18/2021, approved 8 recreation areas with swimming in Moscow: Putyaevsky Pond( VAO), Lake Beloe (VAO), Lake Meshcherskoye (CJSC), Serebryany Bor-2( NWAO), Serebryany Bor-3 (NWAO), Bolshoy City Pond (ZelAO), Lake Chernoe (ZelAO), School Lake (ZelAO).

In the Moscow Region, as of 10.06.2021, Rospotrebnadzor has allowed 15 recreational places for swimming: Lake Svyatoe (Shatura), Lake Yubileynoye (Roshal), the Guslitsa River (Yegoryevsk), the Lyublevka River (Yegoryevsk), the Desna River (Yegoryevsk), the Kholmovskaya Dam (Yegoryevsk), Lake Senezh (Solnechnogorsk), the Sister River (Klin), the Vyaz River (Klin), the Oka River (Lukhovitsy), Blue Lake (Lukhovitsy), Sturgeon River (Zaraysk), Sturgeon River (Silver Ponds), Western reservoir (Elektrostal), watered quarry “Baikal” (Pavlovsky Posad).

Forecasters predict the return of summer weather to Moscow and the Moscow region by the weekend. On Saturday afternoon in the capital, it is expected to reach +23-25°, and on Sunday to +25-27°.
