Soviet and Russian television personality, journalist and General Director of the Public Television of Russia (OTR) Anatoly Lysenko he died of a long illness at the age of 85. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the OTR on Sunday, June 20. The date and place of the farewell is not yet specified.

Biography

Anatoly Lysenko was born on April 14, 1937 in Vinnytsia (Ukrainian SSR). The family moved to Moscow 5 days after his birth. He studied at school No. 1 of the Oktyabrskaya Railway. In the ninth grade, Lysenko was kicked out of school for bad behavior, but allowed to take exams. While studying in the Lenin Library, he eventually passed on “excellent” everything except English (he passed on “good”).

In 1960, Lysenko graduated from the Economics Department of the Moscow Institute of Railway Transport Engineers, and then completed postgraduate studies at the All-Union Correspondence Institute of Railway Transport Engineers. From 1960 to 1965, he worked as a shop foreman at the Lublin Foundry and Mechanical Plant (LMZ). Kaganovich. He was a member of the CPSU.

Career in television journalism

Lysenko first appeared on television as a student in September 1956. He was invited to take part in a moral and ethical debate on the topic of love and friendship. Since 1959, he began working as a freelance author and presenter of youth programs (“Komsomol Searchlight”, “Screen of Public Opinion”, etc.). Later, he actively participated in amateur performances, went on tour with the creative team in the USSR.

When Lysenko was still working at the Lublin LMZ, a television group came to the plant to shoot a program about the amateur activities of workers. Lysenko, given his amateur performance, took part. However, shortly before the broadcast, everything was canceled and the concept was changed: they prepared a monologue about students and spring with caricature drawings. The lyrics were written by Lysenko & mdash; so he first appeared on television.

In 1968, Lysenko was hired as a senior editor in the Main Editorial Office of programs for Young People of Central Television. Later, he was suspended from working in the frame for five years (when Sergey Lapin became chairman of the State Committee for Radio and Television Broadcasting). During this period, Lysenko began writing screenplays.

In the late 70s, together with the writer and screenwriter Galina Shergova and journalist By Eduard Sagalaev participated in the creation of the documentary television series “Our Biography”(1976 & ndash;1977). In 1986 & mdash;1990, he was Deputy Editor-in-chief of the Main Editorial Office of Programs for Young People.

In April 1987, Anatoly Lysenko became the head of the program “Vzglyad”, which had a strong influence on Soviet television and on the atmosphere in the country as a whole. In 1990-1996, he was the General Director of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. From 1996 to 2000, he served as Chairman of the Committee on Telecommunications and Mass Media of the Moscow Government. He took part in the creation of the TV channel “TV Center” and was a member of the Board of Directors for three years.

In 2000–2001, Lysenko headed the FSUE “Roskniga”. In October 2002, he was appointed President of the International Academy of Television and Radio. In 2003 & ndash; 2004, he was the host of & laquo; Program programs on yesterday » on«Channel One & raquo;. From 2005 to 2012, he wrote a column as a TV critic in the newspaper “The Interlocutor”.

In July 2012, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, Lysenko was appointed General Director of the Public Television of Russia, which began work in May 2013.

What else is known about Anatoly Lysenko?

In 2011, he published a book of memoirs “TV live and on record”. It is also known that Lysenko was on the board of the Academy of Russian Television. He was a retired State Councilor of the first class and a professor at the Faculty of Media Communications of the Higher School of Economics.

Since 2013, he has been a member of the Council for Awarding Prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of Mass Media.

Anatoly Lysenko has a wife, Valentina Efimovna Lysenko, a daughter, a son, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Awards and titles

During his life, Lysenko received many awards and titles. Among them:

  •  Order of Merit for the Fatherland» IV degree;
  • Order of Honor;
  • Honored Artist of the Russian Federation;
  • Honored Journalist of the Russian Federation;
  • Gold Medal named after Lev Nikolaev.
