Eight wildfires occurred in the Tyumen region in a day

Eight wildfires occurred in the Tyumen region during the day, in total, 22 wildfires are operating in the region, according to the regional operational headquarters.

Five forest fires in the region occurred on a total area of 9 hectares, three landscape fires on a total area of 22 hectares.The total number of active forest fires – 18, landscape – four.

It is noted that this year the region recorded the largest fires in the last ten years. Since May 11, a state of emergency in the forests has been introduced in the Tyumen region.

The day before, it was reported that the area of forest fires in Russia increased by almost 20% in a day. Currently, there are 81 natural fires on the territory of the country on an area of 18,040 hectares. The largest of them is observed in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as in Yakutia, Kamchatka Territory, Irkutsk and Tyumen regions.
