The rains have stopped flooding the southern coast of Crimea, the flood peak has passed, but rescue operations are still in full swing. Local residents, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Housing and Communal Services and military personnel pump water from flooded houses, remove garbage and silt from the roads. In the city, streets are being cleared and excess soil is being removed. Heavy rains in Yalta washed away mountains of garbage in the Black Sea, you can not swim in many places.
A powerful cyclone hit the Crimea on June 17, which led to the flooding of Kerch in the east of the peninsula. The next day, heavy rains reached Yalta, causing rivers to overflow their banks, flooding streets and houses. Emergency mode has been declared in the regions.
