It is necessary to move around the city not only for healthy and capable people, but also for people with limited mobility. What is being done in the country to make our cities convenient and accessible for them? And how does the national project help in this?

And & nbsp;at the same time, they did not just bring the regulatory state to the standard, but also created conditions for people with disabilities to move comfortably. This is very important here, because the street passes through the Hospital Town-this is the name of the microdistrict where the buildings of the city clinical hospital named after M. A. Now parking spaces for people with limited mobility are equipped along the roadway, and curbs are lowered in the area of exits from sidewalks. Tactile tiles are laid on pedestrian crossings so that visually impaired people can determine the beginning of movement along the roadway and its completion.

The chairman of the Novokuznetsk organization of the All-Russian Society of the Blind, Stanislav Kushch, is glad of the innovations and hopes that the improvement of the city in this direction will continue.

Low floor and comfortable handrails
The national project “Safe and high-quality highways” includes the federal project “Modernization of passenger transport in urban agglomerations”. According to him, the city received 387 low-floor buses, trolleybuses and trams from 412 planned for this year. In addition to the adjustable height of the floor level, they have a folding ramp, a place and means for attaching a wheelchair, and also an external driver call button.
In Izhevsk, for example, new trams are operating on the tenth route, the longest and busiest. Since their release, the number of flights has increased by 45 per day. Then & nbsp;there are now passengers for a long time at & nbsp; stops do not & nbsp; stand.

In the whole country, within the framework of the national project, “Safe and high-quality highways” last year, more than 1.3 thousand objects providing unhindered movement of people with limited mobility led to a regulatory state. This year, another 1.6 thousand will be added to them. About 400 objects have already been put into operation.
