Foreign trucks with unpaid fines will not be released from the territory of the Russian Federation

Foreign trucks and buses will not be able to leave the territory of Russia with unpaid fines. The relevant measures will come into force on June 7.

According to the text of the law “On state Control over the Implementation of International Road Transport and on liability for Violations of the procedure for their implementation”, if when leaving the Russian territory of a vehicle belonging to a foreign carrier, it turns out that a violation of the law in the field of road traffic was previously committed with its use, the vehicle cannot be released outside the country. This will happen only after paying the fine imposed for the violation.

If the carrier does not have time to pay the fine during the customs control procedure, it will be necessary to drive the vehicle away from the territory of the customs control point.

Similar measures will also apply when entering the territory of Russia.

Earlier it was reported that the traffic police developed a draft of amendments to the Rules of the road. In particular, we are talking about expanding the list of technical failures and conditions under which the operation of vehicles will be prohibited. Fines for these violations will amount to 500 rubles. A penalty of deprivation of rights is also possible.
