Launch of the Soyuz-2.1 b launch vehicle with OneWeb satellites

On September 14, 2021, at 21:07 Moscow time, a Soyuz-2.1 b carrier rocket was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome with the Frigate upper stage and 34 OneWeb spacecraft on board as part of mission No. 36. After 563.9 seconds, the orbital unit was launched on a suborbital trajectory.

With this launch, the OneWeb low-orbit constellation will increase by another 34 satellites and reach 322. This launch was the tenth under the OneWeb program, the second from Baikonur in 2021 and the fourth from this cosmodrome in general. The work is being carried out under the contract of Glavkosmos (part of Roscosmos) with Arianespace and Starsem. The next launch of OneWeb satellites is scheduled for October 14 from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
