The leading regions in the context of the topic of ecology are named in Russia. The results were summarized for the first quarter of 2021. This title was awarded to the regions as part of the national award in the field of environmental technologies “ECOTECH-LEADER 2021”. The Organizing Committee of the Award and the Publishing House “Argumenty I Fakty” together with the company “Medialogiya” have compiled an eco-rating. The reference to the regions in connection with the environmental agenda in the first quarter of 2021 was taken as a basis.

“High places in the media rating indicate that in these specific regions of the country, issues related to the environment are not silenced, but, on the contrary, become significant in the current agenda. And it is clear that the leaders in this are Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Moscow region. However, it is important that in other regions of the Russian Federation, environmental issues are given great attention, both by the authorities and by the media. It can be stated that in the regions that are in the top 20 of this rating, they are serious about solving environmental problems, or at least they are publicly discussed, ” said chairman of the Organizing Committee of the award “ECOTECH-LEADER” Vitaly Rasnitsyn.
The rating is based on the media database of the Medialogy system, which includes more than 63 thousand sources: TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, news agencies, and online media. It is planned to regularly compile and publish it during the year.
