The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Ukrainian border guards do not offer any resistance to Russian units, RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Ukraine’s air defense systems were suppressed. The ministry also noted that the military infrastructure of the AFU air bases is out of order.
In addition, the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation denied reports of a Russian plane shot down in eastern Ukraine, which was previously reported by Ukrainian security forces.
In turn, the LPR announced an operation to liberate the temporarily occupied territory. Residents of the frontline areas were urged to go down to bomb shelters if possible.
It was also reported that NATO is convening an emergency meeting due to the situation in Ukraine. Representatives of the alliance countries will hold it in the morning.
