Napoleon’s cocked hat will be sold at an online auction in Paris

One of Napoleon’s cocked hats will become the main lot at Sotheby’s online auction in Paris, reports TASS.

According to representatives of the auction house, the headdress traveled with Bonaparte during his military campaign of 1807, including during the meeting of the French emperor with the Russian tsar Alexander I in Tilsit.

Experts believe that the cost of Napoleon’s cocked hat during the auction will be at least 600 thousand euros. In total, about a thousand artifacts related to the emperor will be put up for auction.

It is known that a total of 19 cocked hats belonging to Bonaparte have been identified by historians. Most of them are kept in museum collections.

Earlier it was reported that the painting of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill was sold at auction in New York for $ 1.8 million.
