Russia will create a national database of genetic information, and the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Finance will determine the necessary amount of funds to implement this initiative by July 30.
The corresponding order on the results of the visit to the Kurchatov Institute in Moscow was made by the Prime Minister of the country Mikhail Mishustin, reports Газета.ги.
“In Russia, on behalf of the president, a national database of genetic information is being created,” the government’s press service said.
The agencies will also have to determine the sources of funding for this project by the specified deadline. In addition, it is necessary to present the results of the consideration of the concept of creating a database by the Council for the Implementation of the Federal Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of Genetic Technologies.
Earlier, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers approved the regulation on a Single Data Management Platform, the main task of which will be to improve the quality and accessibility of state and municipal services for citizens.
