The head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu, during a working trip to the troops of the Southern Military District, visited the Dagdiesel Plant JSC, where he checked the progress of the state defense order, and also offered the company’s management to employ the wives of military personnel.
The minister noted that the defense ministry invests more than 3 billion rubles in the work of the plant. He asked the general director of Dagdiesel and the leadership of Dagestan to pay attention to the issue of employment of the wives of the Russian military, the press service of the Ministry of Defense reports.
In turn, the general director of the enterprise said that the state defense order is fully implemented, while improving the efficiency of all production processes is monitored.
He also gave Shoigu a tour of the workshops, during which he spoke about the products and plans for the development of the plant.
Dagdiesel is part of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation. This is one of the oldest Russian enterprises in the field of diesel and torpedo construction.
The Defense Minister arrived in Dagestan for an inspection on June 8. It was reported that he will check the point where the surface ships are based, the base point under construction in Kaspiysk and the training base of the anti-submarine sabotage squad.
