The Ministry of Transport has developed new Rules for the transportation of passengers, baggage, cargo by rail, which prescribe who and how long has the right to use the table on trains. However, the document will work only from September 1, 2022. There are 316 items in it, among which there is the following: “At the request of the conductor of long-distance train cars, a passenger passing on the lower shelf is obliged to provide a place at the table to a passenger passing on the upper one for eating”In the morning and evening hours no more than 30 minutes, at lunchtime no more than 1 hour”.
The rules also say that the passenger must occupy the seat indicated on his ticket, and the passenger passing on the lower shelf has the preferential right to use the lower seat for placing hand luggage (up to 36 kg), and the passenger passing on the upper shelf has the upper seat.
