New York was covered in smoke due to fires in the western United States. We are talking about the elements that are raging in the forests of three western states-Oregon, Washington and California.
New Yorkers complain about the smell of burning, and forecasters warn that the content of harmful substances in the air is exceeded. The city authorities recommend that residents of the city who suffer from asthma or have heart problems do not leave their homes at least during the day.
The National Weather Service confirmed that the cause of the smoke was fires in the western United States. Now there are 13 of them, the largest in the state of Oregon. The first fires were recorded there on July 6, its area is over 1.5 thousand square kilometers. Data on the victims or the dead have not yet been received.
