A court in Voronezh arrested for two months, until September 19, Igor Kachkin, a former deputy head of the traffic police department in the region, and now the head of one of the OMVD units in the Paninsky district of the region, suspected of attempted bribery. This is reported by the regional department of the IC.
Kachkin was detained after he offered a police officer a bribe of 30 thousand rubles for assistance in obtaining a driver’s license to his friend. A case was opened against him on an attempt to give a bribe in a significant amount, he admitted his guilt.
Meanwhile, in February of last year, the prosecutor’s office of the Voronezh Region presented Igor Kachkin with claims for 22 real estate objects worth 50 million rubles and demanded in court to withdraw them, turning them into state revenue.
Moreover, all the real estate was registered to the parents of the deputy head of the traffic police department, although their income was insufficient for such purchases.
According to the supervisory authority, the deputy head of the UGIBDD personally participated in the conclusion of seven transactions worth more than 23 million rubles on the basis of notarial powers of attorney on behalf of the mother and signed purchase and sale agreements. It is noted that the police officer did not provide evidence confirming the purchase of the disputed property with legitimate income. Now the court has suspended the proceedings in this case.
