The court left the director of the RANEPA Institute of Management under arrest

The Moscow City Court dismissed the appeal against the extension of the term of arrest of the director of the Institute of Civil Service and Management of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) Igor Bartsits, reports TASS.

It is noted that the decision of the Lefortovsky Court of Moscow on the extension of the accused’s detention until August 20 remains in force.

Bartsits is accused of fraud on a particularly large scale. Svetlana Larina, Dean of the Faculty of Public Administration of Economics at RANEPA, is also under house arrest in this case.

According to the investigation, the accomplices organized a criminal scheme of embezzlement of money, systematically receiving it from subordinates for unjustified accrual of additional wages. Barzitz pleaded guilty and fully compensated for the damage.

The RANEPA previously noted that the financial abuse by the dean did not affect the budget.
