The court’s decision to recognize the FBK as an extremist organization has entered into force

The First Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction recognized the decision on the recognition of the Anti-Corruption Fund and the Foundation for the Protection of Citizens ‘ Rights as extremist organizations (FBK and FZPG, recognized in Russia as non-governmental organizations) as legitimate.

A similar decision was made regarding the public movement “Navalny’s headquarters”, reports TASS.

Thus, the decision of the Moscow City Court enters into legal force.

Lawyer Ivan Pavlov said that the defense intends to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR). Before that, it is necessary to pass the cassation instance in Russia.

“We will seek a review of this case in the ECHR,” Pavlov explained, adding that the court ” committed a number of significant violations.”

Earlier it was reported that Roskomnadzor restricted access to the website of blogger Alexey Navalny, who is serving a criminal sentence. In addition, based on the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the agency blocked access to portals associated with organizations created by Navalny.

Recall that in April, the prosecutor’s office of the capital sent a lawsuit to the court to recognize the FBK, the FZPG and Navalny’s headquarters as extremist organizations. In early June, the court issued a positive decision on this claim.
