Plot Protests in Kazakhstan amid rising gas prices
The first planes with paratroopers who participated in the CSTO peacekeeping mission in Kazakhstan arrived in Russia.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, on Saturday eight IL-76 aircraft landed at the airfield in Ivanovo. After landing the last board on the airfield, celebrations are expected.
In addition, two more aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces An-124 “Ruslan” arrived at the airfield “Chkalovsky” in the Moscow region. The military is unloading weapons, military equipment and property. After the solemn meeting, the personnel will go to the permanent deployment point.
Peacekeepers from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan arrived in Kazakhstan last week to help stabilize the situation amid the protests. Their withdrawal began on January 13. It will last until January 19.
