According to preliminary forecasts of weather forecasters, the air temperature in the Russian Federation will be high until the end of this summer. According to the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand, the second half of July and August will be hot on average in the country.
However, according to him, periodically the weather will be “nervous”, strong fluctuations are not excluded, RIA Novosti reports.
In turn, a leading employee of the Phobos Weather Center, Yevgeny Tishkovets, said that the heat record of 85 years ago was broken in Moscow on July 13: the air warmed up to +32.7.
This is 0.3 degrees higher than the record of 1936, when the thermometer in the city showed plus 32.4.
According to the forecaster, this is the first heat record in July and the fifth in the summer season, when the air temperature exceeded 30 degrees Celsius for almost a week. Tishkovets added that up to five more days with the same temperature are expected in the capital.
