The inclination of the orbit of the new station will allow cosmonauts to see the entire Russian Federation-Izvestia

The angle of the orbit of the new national space station will allow cosmonauts to see the whole of Russia, the newspaper Izvestia writes.

It is reported that the International Space Station has less than 52 degrees, and the future national station will have an inclination of up to 97 degrees. From the ISS orbit, the astronauts saw only 15-20% of the territory of Russia.

It is noted that in this case, the plane of the station’s orbit will change position simultaneously with the Sun. Thus, it will be possible to “stop time” and the station will fly over the selected area of Land always at the same time on the clock.

At the same time, with an increase in the angle of inclination of the orbit, the new station will change its position relative to the radiation belts of the Earth. Therefore, the expected doses, even in an undisturbed radiation environment, will be 30 % higher than currently on the ISS.

Earlier, it became known about Russia’s intention to withdraw from the ISS project from 2025 and create its own orbital station, which can be used as a transshipment point for the exploration of the Moon.

Dmitry Rogozin reported that for the new object, the scientific and energy module, which was created specifically for the ISS, will be reworked. Now Roscosmos is waiting for instructions from the Russian authorities to start working on the development of the station.

We add that the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Yuri Borisov, previously said that the state of the ISS structures could lead to a catastrophe.
