The Latvian authorities refused to send their military to Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Latvia is not considering sending its soldiers to Ukraine. Such a statement was made by the head of the defense department of the republic Artis Pabriks, Izvestia writes.

At the same time, Latvia does not refuse to supply new weapons to the country.

“We know what we will give to Ukrainians, but I will tell you exactly when these planes will land at the Ukrainian airport,” the minister said.

According to him, we are talking about “Latvian-made items”, as well as those that are in Latvian military warehouses, but produced abroad, these supplies will be important for the potential protection of Ukraine.

The head of the Ministry also announced the intention of Estonia and Lithuania to supply weapons to the territory of Ukraine, while expressing regret that some European countries do not want to follow the example of these states.

Earlier it became known that Kiev will receive anti-tank defensive weapons from London. In addition, the Canadian Defense Ministry sent a special-purpose detachment to Ukraine due to fears of an escalation of the situation on the Russian-Ukrainian border.
