The Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Central Bank and Roskomnadzor, intends to create a single database of telephone scammers. This is reported by TASS with reference to the senior operative of the Bureau of Special Technical Measures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Grigory Matusevich.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Central Bank and Roskomnadzor have organized themselves into a single working group, since questions constantly arise between them about who should receive what information about personal data. Together, they will create a single database.
It is known that fraudsters began to use real phone numbers of Russians through substitution. Citizens have already received calls from allegedly police officers and banks. If gullible Russians called back, then in response they heard the voices of real people who did not know that their numbers were used by scammers. In this case, police officers recommend contacting their operator and informing them that the number is being used by criminals.
