The introduction of a QR code system for visiting public places is a justified measure at a time when more than a thousand people die from coronavirus every day. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Synodal Department for External Church Relations, Metropolitan Hilarion.
In the program “The Church and the World” on the TV channel “Russia-24”, he noted that this is “a very scary statistic”. According to him, Russia ranks first in the number of deaths per day from coronavirus.
Hilarion stressed that vaccination should not be mandatory. However, people who do not want to be vaccinated should stay at home so as not to endanger the health of others. Or it is necessary to discuss a list of places where the unvaccinated can appear and where not, the metropolitan believes.
Recall that a new maximum of coronavirus infections was recorded in Russia during the day. 41 335 people got sick. Over the past 24 hours, 1,188 people have died from coronavirus.
QR codes about vaccination or transferred coronavirus have been introduced in all regions of the country. Restrictive measures are being tightened in many regions. So, from November 8 in Primorsky Krai, it is planned to prohibit visiting manufactured goods stores without a QR code. In two weeks, residents of Tatarstan will be able to use public transport also only if they have a code.
