The Russian military is monitoring the actions of the Spanish patrol ship Rayo and the Italian minesweeper Viareggio in the Black Sea, TASS reports, referring to the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation.
The ministry clarified that the ships of the Spanish and Italian Navies entered the Black Sea water area at 18.30 on September 23.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the Black Sea is turning into a zone of dangerous military confrontation.
The Security Council, in turn, warned Western countries against provocations near the borders of the Russian Federation.
It also became known in which case NATO forces can open fire on Russian ships.
