Two Russian Tu-160 strategic missile carriers have completed a planned seven-hour flight over the neutral waters of the Barents and Norwegian Seas, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.
The missile carriers were accompanied by the crews of MiG-31 aircraft of the Air Force and Air Defense association of the Northern Fleet.
Earlier, the crews of two Tu-160 missile carriers worked out flights with refueling in the air. They flew from Chukotka to the Saratov region, covering more than 8 thousand km. In mid-June, the defense ministry also reported that two Tu-160 missile carriers of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed a planned flight over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.
