What was the cause of the case?

In April, the Safe Internet League asked the Russian Interior Ministry to check the recordings of Yuri Dudya’s interview for propaganda of banned substances. Official examinations confirmed that the corresponding violations are in two records-with the rapper Morgenstern and blogger Ivanhoe. This was reported by TASS Ekaterina Mizulina, Director of the Safe Internet League and a member of the Public Chamber of Russia, on Thursday, June 10.

“Enormous pressure was exerted on the police officers, but, despite this, an objective investigation took place, and the case was brought to court,” Mizulina said, but did not specify what kind of pressure she was talking about.

An interesting fact is that recently Morgenstern, in an interview with whom propaganda was discovered, himself recently went to court for the same reason-in his songs, experts revealed similar violations.

According to Article 1.1 of Article 6.13 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (propaganda of narcotic drugs using the Internet), a journalist can be fined up to 1.5 million rubles.
