A bill on the handling of manure has been submitted to the State Duma. And what, we somehow treated him wrong?
According to the idea of the authors of the document, it is designed to remove legal uncertainty and save farmers from unfair fines. In the Russian Federation, 180 million tons of manure and chicken manure are produced annually, while 60% of pig farms and poultry farms process these products of agricultural animal life into organic fertilizers. Farmers use manure and manure to fertilize the soil, but environmental legislation classifies them as hazardous waste that must be neutralized and disposed of. The bill equates manure to fertilizer. But, according to The head of the forestry department of “Greenpeace of Russia” Alexey Yaroshenko, the new document contains a number of provisions that are dangerous to the environment. For example, the leakage of slurry from pig farms or poultry farms into rivers and lakes will no longer be considered environmental pollution, although the harm from them is obvious.
