36 OneWeb satellites have been delivered to Russia for launch

A batch of 36 OneWeb communication satellites has been delivered to Russia, Roscosmos reported.

The satellites were delivered to the Ignatievo airfield in Blagoveshchensk on an An-124-100 aircraft. On Saturday, they will be transported to the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

The state corporation clarified that the launch of the satellites is scheduled for next month.

Recall that on September 14, a Soyuz-2.1 b carrier rocket with a Fregat upper stage and 34 OneWeb spacecraft was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

The day before it was reported that the production of the first satellite of the space group “Skif” for providing broadband Internet access has started in the Russian Federation.
