A detachment of ships of the Pacific Fleet will conduct exercises in the waters of the Sea of Japan

The frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov and the corvette Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov of the Pacific Fleet sailed to the Sea of Japan to conduct combat training events, the press service of the Pacific Fleet reports.

The crew of Marshal Shaposhnikov will work out the search for a conditional enemy submarine, as well as perform a set of preparatory and scoring exercises with the implementation of an algorithm of actions during missile firing. The conditional target will simulate an enemy ship.

“The corvette”Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov” will conduct air defense exercises with a single ship at sea,” the message says.

It is noted that the frigate “Marshal Shaposhnikov” returned to service after repairs, modernization and testing. Soon it should become part of the permanent readiness forces of the fleet.

Earlier it was reported that the flagship of the Pacific Fleet, the missile cruiser Varyag and the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Tributs, fired anti-aircraft missiles in the waters of the Sea of Japan.
