In Moscow, on the last weekend before the non-working period from October 28 to November 7, demand for food and non-food products increased. According to the operational data of cash register equipment (KKT), in non-food retail turnover on October 23-24 increased by 3% compared to the previous weekend and amounted to 9.6 billion rubles, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for economic policy and property and land relations Vladimir Efimov.

If on the previous weekend, October 16-17, their average daily turnover was 1.36 billion rubles, then on October 23-24 it increased by 14% to 1.56 billion rubles, the deputy mayor stressed.

According to the Analytical Center of Moscow, stores selling cosmetics increased their turnover by 13%: if on October 16-17, the average daily revenue was 297.7 million rubles, then on the last weekend before the introduction of restrictive measures, it increased to 337.5 million rubles.

“Despite the fact that grocery stores will continue to operate during non-working days, their average daily revenue for the weekend of October 23-24 increased by 20% and reached 2.9 billion rubles.
