The Russian Academy of Education (RAO) was headed by former Minister of Education Olga Vasilyeva, RIA Novosti reports.
The election of the President of the RAO was held on June 30 at the general meeting of the Academy members. Vasilyeva was the only registered candidate. 109 people voted for it, 31 against it. Seven votes were invalid.
Vasilyeva expressed gratitude for being elected President of the RAO.
The Russian Academy of Education unites scientists working in the field of education and pedagogy. The RAO has 269 members.
Recall that in April it was reported that the interdepartmental working group on the development of the general education system finalized the draft federal state educational standards.
