Russian President Vladimir Putin said that 60% of schools in the country need to be repaired, while 10% of them are in need of capital repairs.
The Head of State stressed that money is planned for the repair and construction of new schools.
During the direct line, the head of state received a question from Ussuriysk. A local resident said that at the end of the last school year, a partition in the old building collapsed at the school in the village of Vozdvizhenka. There is not enough space in the other building, which is why students will have to study in two shifts. The woman asked for help with the school building, and also noted that there are no sewage treatment plants in the village and there is an acute problem with the quality of roads.
Putin replied that there were many problems, but assured that he would talk with the regional authorities about this appeal. According to him, if the school is in a state of disrepair, a new one should be built. The authorities should make an appropriate application.
The President noted that a total of 1,300 schools need to be built in the country.
