Snow has fallen on the streets of Egyptian Alexandria

In Egyptian Alexandria, snow fell due to a powerful European cyclone that came to the country, the General Directorate of Meteorology of Egypt reports on Twitter.

On Sunday, it got significantly colder in the center of the Sinai Peninsula, the temperature dropped to -2 degrees at night, hurricane-force winds, sandstorms and showers were also observed.

After a while, the snow melted, flooding the streets, which were partially washed out after the rains. Also, the ports of the Mediterranean and the Red Sea have stopped receiving ships due to waves 5 meters high.

In September, snow and hail fell in the west of the African country of Cameroon, with a snow cover thickness of 0.05 millimeters. The authorities linked the weather anomaly with climate change.
