The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has launched a criminal investigation into the statement of the chairman of the Moscow city branch of the Russian Red Cross (RCC) Igor Trunov about the alleged illegal sale of RCC property, RIA Novosti reports.
Trunov sent an appeal to the head of the IC Alexander Bastrykin, in which he stated that the RCC owned a specialized clinical sanatorium “Druzhba”, a recreation center “Khlebnikovo”and a hospital in Addis Ababa. According to Trunov, this property was “transferred by fictitious transactions to third parties”.
It is specified that the case was initiated against the ex-chairman of the organization Raisa Lukuttsova on the fact of fraud on a particularly large scale. The press service of the RCC told the TASS news agency that the data of the criminal case “have nothing to do with the current leadership of the RCC”.
