They don’t give a start. Pentagon failed hypersonic weapons tests

The United States reported a failure in testing hypersonic weapons. It is not known what kind of rocket we are talking about. Probably, the launch was supposed to take place in the Pacific Ocean area. The agency reported that the problem is in the rocket accelerator. АиФ.ги I tried to figure out — is it true or just a clever tactic to mislead a potential opponent.

The day before it was reported that in the Pacific Ocean area from October 20 to October 29, the United States plans to launch an unknown missile system. As follows from the navigation warning for pilots and navigators, the launch should be made from the test site on Kodiak Island.

The missile range off the southern coast of Alaska in the area of the American Kwajalein Atoll (Marshall Islands) is actively used by the Pentagon to test military systems, including anti-missile systems. It is also designed to launch light launch vehicles with small spacecraft. Judging by the coordinates, the flight range should have been about 2 thousand kilometers.

However, something went wrong. The Pentagon intelligently called the situation “freelance”.

Officially, the United States Department of Defense has confirmed the disruption and postponement of hypersonic weapons tests due to a problem with the accelerator. Now the agency is conducting an inspection. The test was supposed to confirm the operability of individual elements of the hypersonic combat unit, which are still in development.

But it is not excluded that the Pentagon has adopted a new Chinese tactic, we don’t have any hypersound, it’s all fiction. Recently, the Chinese have been so stubbornly denying the hypersonic weapons tests conducted by themselves that the United States could unwittingly pick up the idea of keeping quiet about their achievements and flaunting failures.

For example, in July, the US Air Force admitted that the second test of an air-launched hypersonic missile (ARRW) failed after the engine failed, and the first one in April, then the problem was in the carrier rocket.

There are also reports in the media that the United States will certainly lose the hypersonic arms race to Russia and China. Such statements sound too often and loudly, which makes one doubt their veracity.

On the other hand, there are reports about the success of the USA in hypersonic. For example, the country’s Navy recently confirmed three missile launches to test advanced hypersonic weapons systems.

Perhaps the tactic is to keep other countries in doubt and in the dark at what stage the United States is testing hypersonic weapons, if at all… When the enemy’s forces are not clear, it is better to be wary of him.
