Tula gingerbread in Africa. Prigozhin organized humanitarian aid to Sudan

Employees of a volunteer organization in Sudan distribute Tula gingerbread to local children. These traditional sweet gifts from Russia were sent to the East African state by St. Petersburg entrepreneur Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Almost 30 tons of gingerbread from the Tula region were sent to orphanages, hospitals, orphanages, kindergartens, schools, as well as to charitable organizations that take care of minors and orphans. The aid will reach the poorest families in various cities and states in Sudan.

This is not the first charity event for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the East African country, organized by businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin. Previously, food packages, sugar and flour were also distributed to the local population.

In April, the Sudanese received more than a million food packages consisting of rice, lentils, sugar and other food items. The distribution of humanitarian aid, which lasted for three weeks, was timed to coincide with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. Then the Russian businessman was thanked by state officials, including the Minister of Social Security, for the large-scale support on behalf of the Sudanese peopleAhmad Adam Bahi and Khartoum State High Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs Mustafa Adam Ahmad. Officials and politicians noted the importance of such actions for a country experiencing a difficult economic situation.
