Two Tu-95MS missile carriers flew over the neutral waters of the Arctic

Two Tu-95MS long-range strategic missile carriers made a scheduled flight over the neutral waters of the Chukchi, Bering and Okhotsk Seas. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

The message says that the crews of Su-35s aircraft of the Air Force and Air Defense association of the Eastern Military District were involved in escorting the missile carriers.

The ministry stressed that the duration of the flight was more than nine hours. In addition, the ministry drew attention to the fact that all flights of aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces are conducted in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.

Earlier it was reported that two Russian Su-30 fighters escorted two B-1B bombers and two KS-135 tanker aircraft of the US Air Force over the Black Sea.
