Scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand said that the velvet season will end in Russian resorts on October 3-5.
“The velvet season will last at most until October 3-5,” TASS quotes him as saying.
The forecaster noted that currently in the south of the European part of the Russian Federation, the air temperature is recorded below the norm by one or two degrees. He explained that this has an effect on the temperature of seawater.
In addition, according to Vilfand, in the near future the water temperature in Yevpatoria will be 18 degrees, in Feodosia, Anapa, Gelendzhik – 19 degrees, in Alushta, Tuapse and Sochi – 20 degrees, and in Yalta – plus 21 degrees.
