A military court has arrested FSB aviation officers in a fraud case

The 235th Garrison Military Court has arrested three officers of the sixth department of the FSB Aviation Directorate (UA) on charges of major fraud, TASS reports.

Yuri Kravchenko, Artem Sokhin and Sergey Romanov will stay in custody for two months.

According to a law enforcement source, Kravchenko is the head of the sixth Aviation Directorate (UA) of the FSB, Sokhin is his deputy, and Romanov is one of the officers of the unit. All of them are charged under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud on a particularly large scale”).

According to media reports, the officers are being held in a case related to the theft of 63,499,600 rubles in 2017-2019.

Earlier in Moscow, former lawyer Alexander Vershinin received 2.5 years in a penal colony in a fraud case. In addition, he is deprived of the right to practice law for three years.
