In the Russian Federation, they offer to give students certificates for courses in preparation for the Unified State Exam

In Russia, they offer to provide students from economically disadvantaged families with special certificates to pay for courses to prepare for the Unified State Exam, RT reports.

The address of the director of the Institute of Progressive Education Anna Marx to the Minister of Education of the country Sergey Kravtsov states that, depending on the region of Russia and the status of a teacher, the cost of one lesson with a tutor can vary from 300 to three thousand rubles. As a result, the monthly expenses for preparing a child for exams canbe from 2.5 thousand to 24 thousand rubles. In this regard, it is proposed to consider the possibility of providing children from socially vulnerable segments of the population with special educational certificates to pay for courses in at least three subjects in preparation for the Unified State Exam with a nominal value of at least 20 thousand rubles for one subject at the expense of the state.

Marx believes that such a measure will contribute to increasing the availability of high-quality higher education for children from low-income and large families.

According to a survey conducted by the Institute of Progressive Education, among this year’s school graduates, one in four was engaged with a tutor. At the same time, 72% of respondents took classes online or attended paid special courses at educational institutions. 54% of respondents noted that they had to pass three subjects to enter the university, and 32% passed four subjects.

Earlier it was reported that since the beginning of the Unified State Exam, observers have identified 1,872 violations.

Recall that the main period of the Unified State Exam this year will last until July 2, the additional one-until July 17.

The head of Rosobnadzor, Anzor Muzaev, previously said that from 2023 all regions of Russia will receive USE materials through secure channels.
