A nurse from Samara received a suspended sentence for torturing disabled children

A court in Samara found the nurse of a local boarding house for disabled children guilty of torturing teenagers from this institution and failing to fulfill their upbringing duties.

The woman was fined and sentenced to three years of probation with a probation period for a year, Novye Izvestia writes.

According to the investigation, in April of this year, a nurse tied three disabled children to their beds, she also beat them. A criminal case was opened against her under two articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

An inspection came to the boarding house, as a result of which the director of the institution was dismissed.

Volunteers stated that the children in this boarding school were very poorly fed, most of them were emaciated and poorly dressed.

In early December, it was reported that in Udmurtia, a primary school teacher bullied children. She used corporal punishment against second graders, in particular, put them on peas.
