An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 occurred off the coast of Greece, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

According to available information, the tremors were recorded at 04.31 UTC (07.31 Moscow time). The epicenter was located 60 km from the island of Kos, the hearth lay at a depth of 11 km.

No injuries or damage were reported.

Recall that on July 29, an earthquake of magnitude 8.2 occurred off the coast of Alaska, after which the NWS announced a tsunami threat. It was the strongest earthquake in North America since 1964. Two days later, the tsunami threat was lifted for a number of areas.
