Specialists of the concern “Radio-electronic technologies”of the state corporation “Rostec” have developed an installation that can purify the air in an airplane from all known viruses, writes “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
The presentation of the system was held at MAKS-2021. The device was named “Tiocraft VR1000 AERO”. This is a new model of the line of air purifiers, which are serially produced by the Ramenskoye Instrument-Making Plant.
It is noted that the device has an efficiency of over 99.9%. It cleanses the air from all known viruses, including the coronavirus. According to experts, the minimum particle size that Thiocraft is able to neutralize is 10 nanometers, while, for example, the size of the SARS-CoV-2 virus virion is from 50 to 200 nanometers.
The device can be used both during the pre-flight preparation of the aircraft, and directly during the flight.
It is emphasized that the technology has been confirmed by appropriate tests. “Tiokraft” has small dimensions and has the mobility of the installation.
Earlier it was reported that employees of the Center for Photonics and Quantum Materials of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology have developed a nanomembrane that can kill microorganisms and viruses. It was noted that the development is planned to be used in filters of air purifiers and in air conditioners in medical institutions, airplanes, public transport and in production.
