Andrey Khazin has been appointed Acting Rector of the Russian State Social University (RSSU), the Ministry of Education and Science reports in its Telegram channel.
It is explained that Andrey Khazin is a well-known scientist, a full member of the Russian Academy of Arts. He is the head and chairman of the boards of trustees of a number of major public and cultural projects. Khazin will take up his new duties on December 21.
The position of the rector of the RSSU was previously held by Natalia Pochinok, who resigned of her own volition.
Earlier it was reported that Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin appointed Stanislav Prokofiev as the new rector of the Financial University. The new head of the higher education institution will hold his position for five years.
