Several districts of Dagestan were cut off as a result of heavy rains that hit the region, according to the website of the local Ministry of Transport.
Prolonged heavy rains destroyed part of the roads of national and local significance in the Tlyaratinsky, Tsuntinsky, Tsumadinsky districts and on the Bezhtinsky section. Mudslides, rock collapses, erosion of the roadbed, flooding and rockfalls were noticed.
In this regard, transport links have been interrupted in some sections. More than 15 units of heavy road equipment are involved in road restoration works.
Earlier in Dagestan, a group of tourists from 15 people was blocked due to heavy rains in the Karadakh Gorge, one of the travelers was carried away by the river.
