Tests of hypersonic weapons in the United States were postponed due to problems with the launch of the missile, Reuters reports, citing sources.
According to the agency’s interlocutors, the launch vehicle on which the weapon was placed could not take off.
This test was supposed to confirm the operability of individual elements of a hypersonic combat unit under development, but the tests failed.
Earlier, the Pentagon also announced that they had started developing a new hypersonic missile, called Dark Eagle. The US military believes that the implementation of this project will reduce the gap in the field of hypersonic weapons from Russia and China.
