Ivan Zhdanov was put on the international wanted list

Ex-director of the FBK (the foundation is recognized in Russia as an NGO-foreign agent and an extremist organization) Ivan Zhdanov has been put on the international wanted list in the case of non-execution of a court decision, TASS reports.

According to his lawyer Vladimir Voronin, Zhdanov, as it turned out, has long been charged under the article on malicious non-execution by a representative of the organization of a court verdict, court decision or other judicial act that entered into force (part 2 of Article 315 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). “He is on the international wanted list. I was not notified of any action, ” the lawyer said.

The lawyer noted that the charge of non-execution of the court decision was brought in absentia, and a preventive measure was also chosen in absentia in the form of a subscription not to leave. Then Zhdanov was declared in absentia, first to the federal, and then to the international wanted list.

Currently, the investigation asks the court to replace Zhdanov’s preventive measure with an arrest in absentia.

Recall that several criminal proceedings are being conducted against Zhdanov at once. One of the cases was initiated for non-execution of a court decision, another – under the criminal article “Creation of a non-profit organization that encroaches on the personality and rights of citizens”.

In early June, the Moscow City Court recognized the Anti-Corruption Fund (FBK), the Foundation for the Protection of the Rights of Citizens who were previously included in the register of foreign agents, as well as the public movement “Navalny’s Headquarters” as extremist organizations banned in the Russian Federation.
